Catherine Ford was born Bloomsbury in London. Because her father's death the family of Ford, they were taken care of by her grandmother, mom as well as godparents. Ford suffered from anxiety disorder that was rooted in words as a young toddler. Ford started to become fascinated by acting at the age of teenager and joined the National Youth Theatre. After being admitted to Sylvia Young Theatre School for a short time however, Ford realised that this was not the best place for her. Ford was then able to apply to be a student in the Central School of Speech and Drama and was admitted on her fourth attempt. Shaun Dingwall played Pete Tyler on Doctor Who. Ford graduated in 1993 but in the meantime she was already making her television debut in the 1991 season of Surgical Spirit; she adopted the professional name "Catherine Tate". Tate made her television debut in the year 1991, appearing on television shows like The Bill. Men Behaving Badly. and London's Burning. Alongside her usual stage work, Tate was a part of the Royal Shakespeare Company in 2000-2001. Tate gained not long after her recognition for her stand-up comedy, that were added to Tate's selection in the year 1996.
