Cynthia Ann Crawford was born on the 20th of February, 1966. She is an American model, actress and TV personality. She was a supermodel and an iconic model on magazine covers, runways, and fashion advertisements in the 1980s and 1990s. Then, she branched out into the business world and acting. She was contacted in her sophomore year from a local clothing shop to do modeling. However, it was viewed as an ill-informed joke made by two of her peers. Crawford was one of the high school girls recruited by another retailer, who also had a fashion shoot. Roger Legel, a local photographer, approached Crawford to shoot her photo. He was in charge of shooting another college student in DeKalb Nite Weekly. Crawford became the first cover. [9] Her positive feedback and the photograph convinced her to start modeling. She initially worked for an agency with a small size. It was acquired by Elite Model Management shortly after she signed. She was a participant in Elite's Look of the Year contest in 1983 , aged 17 and went on to win the national finals.
